“Doctor, you shouldn’t eat tendon for lunch.

It takes time to digest and absorb, and blood flow is concentrated in the stomach and intestines, so there is not enough blood to go to the lower half of the body.

Then what should I do?

I should have eaten something lighter, like buckwheat noodles.

This is an exchange between Kiyo Tominaga, director of the Tominaga Pain Clinic in Ehime Prefecture, and a man in his 60s who is registered on Facebook, which he presides over. The site is one of the largest community sites run by doctors, and is attracting attention as a rare place for serious discussions about sexual intercourse.

He thought he would be hungry in four hours. But even though his stomach was empty, his intestines were still working on digestion and absorption. There was no blood flow for erection. It is said that the amount of blood in the body decreases in middle-aged and older people compared to when they were young, with children accounting for 70% of the blood flow, while middle-aged and older people account for 50%. When middle-aged and older people eat a lot of food that is easy to digest, more blood is taken up by the stomach and intestines for digestion and absorption, and less blood is circulated to the reproductive organs. Therefore, it is important for middle-aged and older men in particular to decide what, when, and how much they eat.

Based on an Internet survey of 13,000 registered Japanese men and women in their 30s to 80s, Dr. Tominaga presented a report titled “Sexual Conditions of Middle-aged and Older Japanese Living in the 100-year Life Era” at the Japanese Society for Sexual Function Research last September, which became a hot topic. The report analyzed six questions, including “At what age do you have the best sex in your life? In particular, the answer to the question, “When do you have sex?

The most common time was between 10:00 p.m. and midnight, but many people started early in the morning, and a quarter of all respondents had sex in the morning. After presenting the results that overturned the conventional wisdom that sexual intercourse is done at night, we asked Mr. Tominaga to come up with a menu of what to eat at the time of “ita ita” so that the “daytime group” (2 to 3 pm), “nighttime group” (10 to 11 pm), and “morning group” (6 am the next morning) can each perform at their best. The following is a list of the menu items that the “morning group” (22:00-23:00) should eat at the time they “want to do it.

Breakfast for the “Do it in the daytime” group (8:00 a.m.)
Natto (fermented soybeans), eggs
Chirimen-jako (dried baby sardines)
Yogurt

The key is tryptophan, which is abundant in natto, and vitamin E, which is abundant in chirimenjako (dried young sardines) and eggs.

Tryptophan is important as a raw material for serotonin, which is generally referred to as the “happy hormone. Tryptophan is important as a source of serotonin, the ‘happy hormone.’ It sets the mood for relaxation and sex. Vitamin E is said to improve testicular function and increase sperm count. It is an important vitamin that can be expected to produce testosterone, a male hormone related to sexual desire and motivation.”

In addition, it is also important to maintain a healthy intestinal environment with yogurt.

Recent research has shown that the intestinal environment is linked to an increase or decrease in testosterone. A poor intestinal environment not only lowers immunity and makes you tired, but also triggers a decrease in testosterone secretion.

12:30 p.m. [Lunch for the lunch group
Pork kimchi
Canned mackerel and sesame seeds
Rice with barley and miso soup with tofu

The point is to regulate the intestinal environment with fermented foods such as kimchi and miso soup. White rice is also acceptable, but I choose barley rice because it is more suitable for maintaining the intestinal environment. The chili peppers in kimchi have the effect of improving blood flow, and eating chives and garlic, which contain a lot of allicin, can also have a tonic effect.

Allicin has the effect of sustaining the function of vitamin B1, which relieves fatigue, as well as preventing arteriosclerosis. Since penile arteries are very thin, they are the first to be affected by arteriosclerosis, causing ED (erectile dysfunction). In addition, sesame sprinkled with canned mackerel contains a lot of vitamin B6, which promotes the synthesis of serotonin.

For men who have a “bout” with their girlfriends between 2:00 and 3:00 p.m. after lunch, when their stomachs have settled, or for men who skip lunch and prepare for sex at night, what they eat for snacks is also important.

Snacks for 4 p.m. (nighttime group)
Banana juice, strawberry Daifuku, or chocolate with nuts

The key is tryptophan, which is found in bananas and azuki beans (adzuki beans). It increases the sense of happiness between partners for nighttime activities.

Chocolate with nuts is recommended for those who are energetic and boast of their “two rounds” a day, working hard not only during the day but also at night. The oleic acid in nuts helps lower cholesterol levels in the blood and prevents arteriosclerosis. Chocolate contains theobromine, which has a vasodilating effect and regulates the autonomic nervous system, making it relaxing and prolonging erections. What’s more, theobromine is unique to cocoa.”

Chocolate is truly a superfood of love, filling you up and making you feel energized. It makes sense that women give it to their loved ones on Valentine’s Day.

Bananas in banana juice are also known to be eaten by athletes to prevent cramps in their legs during games. The same is true for sexual intercourse. It would be bad if you got a cramp in your leg in the middle of a game (laughs).

7 p.m. [Dinner for those who do it at night].
Oysters
Marinated salmon
Roast beef (men limit themselves to one piece)
Lasagna, pasta, cheese (women only)

The high zinc content in oysters stimulates the secretion of testosterone, the source of sexual desire. Also, astaxanthin, the pigment in salmon, prevents atherosclerosis because it is said to be 550 times more potent as an antioxidant than vitamin E. Men should eat only one piece of roast beef and let the woman eat the rest.

Men should eat a moderate amount of dinner, and conversely, let the women eat as much as they like to fill up. When a woman’s stomach swells with fullness, her brain releases oxytocin, which makes her feel more affectionate. Moreover, women tend to “lust” when they are full.

Compared to the “Do it at night” group, the “Do it the next morning” group’s menu looks as if it will give you strength just by looking at it.

Dinner at 7:00 p.m. [Dinner for those who do it the next morning].
Beef steak with grated radish
Kikurage mushrooms and fried egg
Rice with barley and miso soup with tofu

Beef contains high levels of arachidonic acid, which is the source of the neurotransmitter anandamide, which gives us a sense of well-being. Also, the diastase (digestive enzyme) in grated radish helps regulate the intestinal environment and aids in food digestion, leading to good sleep. Kikurage and eggs are high in vitamin D, which increases energy from the secretion of testosterone.”

So, you can sleep peacefully with a happy mood, and the next morning, you will feel energized in mind and body. On the day of the game, there are some NG foods that should be avoided if possible.

One man said, “I made a mistake by making a fancy pudding for my girlfriend. Even if it is small, rich pudding filled with cream is high in fat and sugar, and can easily cause arteriosclerosis. You should also refrain from eating tendon and the like for the same reason, as they can also impair the distribution of blood flow to the penis.”

It is important to prepare for both food and sex with an understanding of the differences from when you were young.
