Toshiaki Karasawa & Kotaro Koizumi: Smiling and chatting during breaks, but serious expressions on their faces during tense scenes…!

WOWOW’s “Serial Drama W Fixer” is scheduled to begin airing and distribution in April. Toshiaki Karasawa (59) plays a fixer who runs the political and financial world behind the scenes.

I witnessed the filming one cold morning. Karasawa and Kotaro Koizumi (44) were seen on a bridge in Otemachi (Chiyoda Ward). Koizumi plays a detective in the Investigation Department of the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department.

Karasawa and Koizumi are chatting and laughing while waiting. As Karasawa explains something to Koizumi with his hands outstretched in a gesture of laughter, Koizumi begins to laugh as well. However, when the camera started rolling, their expressions turned tense. After exchanging a few words, Karasawa turned to Koizumi with a wry smile and left Koizumi.

Karasawa’s professionalism is second to none. He is taking thorough precautions to prevent infection, saying, ‘I don’t want to get COVID-19 crisis and cause trouble on the set.

Karasawa’s professionalism as an actor will be on full display in this film.
