 There is a suspicious car going back and forth.
 It was the afternoon of January 20 when a resident of Adachi Ward, Tokyo, called the police on 110. When police officers arrived on the scene, they found a suspicious silver rental car. Upon examining the car, they found that the license plate number matched the rental car that had been captured on a nearby security camera in the murder of Kinyo Oshio, 90, a resident of Komae City, at her home the day before. A man who was near the car was taken into custody.

 The man was Rikuto Nagata, 21, of Kanazawa City, Ishikawa Prefecture, of unknown occupation, one of a group that robbed a Nakano Ward residence of approximately 30 million yen last December and fled. On January 21, police will arrest Nagata on suspicion of robbery. The smartphone in the rental car provided information on the specific place and time in Komae City where Mr. Oshio was attacked.
 Other items found in the car included a balaclava, a cable tie, and three high-end wristwatches. Mr. Oshio&#8217;s hands were tied with a bandage, and he was assaulted all over his body, resulting in his death. A luxury wristwatch was also missing from the home, and the police are investigating the suspect as being involved in the Komae incident as well,&#8221; said a reporter from a national newspaper.

 The police also arrested two other suspects, Masaya Yamada (22, Saitama City, Saitama Prefecture) and Shoji Hasegawa (26, Koto-ku, Tokyo), both of unknown occupation, on suspicion of robbery and assault.
 There are believed to be seven people in the group. First, two men in work clothes carrying cardboard boxes posed as couriers and rang the intercom at the victim&#8217;s house. Then, they suddenly punched a male resident (49) in the face when he opened the front door. The other four suspects, except for the driver, also entered the house, threatened the man, demanded he give them money, took about 30 million yen in cash, and fled the scene. All of the suspects have either remained silent or denied committing the crime.

 The perpetrators are believed to have applied for a &#8220;black market job&#8221; offered by the instructor. They met the other members for the first time at the crime scene and did not even know their names. According to police investigations, the instructor was calling himself &#8220;Luffy,&#8221; a character from a popular manga, and was recruiting perpetrators from overseas via social networking sites.
 He was recruiting the perpetrators with good terms, such as &#8216;1 million yen per day. Most of the perpetrators were in need of money and knew that they were committing a heinous crime.
 According to a resident who lives in the same apartment, Nagata is a boating enthusiast and would say things like, &#8220;I got beaten by 500,000 yen today. When he was feeling rich, he would show three high-end watches and ask, &#8220;Where can I get cash for them? Yamada also has no regular job. Yamada also did not have a regular job and was often said to stay up until dawn. When neighbors asked him, &#8220;What do you usually do?&#8221; They replied, &#8220;He is on welfare. If you go to the hospital and get a medical certificate, you can get it easily.
 Similar to the incidents in Nakano and Komae, there have been many cases across Japan of people assaulting residents and robbing them of their money and goods. However, no matter how many perpetrators are caught, there is no fundamental solution. The police are now focusing their efforts on identifying the criminal organizations that are running the perpetrators, including those who call themselves &#8220;Ralphie.

In Nakano Ward, Tokyo, a male resident was beaten in the face and robbed of 30 million yen, and in Komae City, a 90-year-old woman was murdered. Men are believed to be the perpetrators of these incidents. Here are some of the horrifying things they said and did before and after the incidents.
