Sold Out Solo Concert Immediately After Debut, 2nd Single Gets 500 Million Views…Attraction of “FRUITS ZIPPER
Portrait of 7 energetic groups that will enliven Japan in 2023
I want to be as famous as “SUSHI” overseas.
I’ve changed my life since my song got a lot of attention on TikTok. I’ve appeared in various media and events, and my fan base has grown rapidly. …… It still feels like a dream.
The idol group “FRUITS ZIPPER” debuted last April. Less than six months after their debut, their debut live and two one-man live performances were all sold out immediately.

“Our second single, ‘Watashi no Ichibanai Kirei Tokoro’ (‘My Cutest Place’), which we released in April, showed up as a recommended song on TikTok! Then, idols and influencers who I admire posted the video of me dancing to it, and in no time at all, it had over 500 million views.
When I went to sign a panel at Towareco Shibuya a while ago, I was approached by a fan who said he was listening to the song on TikTok. We may not have many fans individually yet, but I felt that the group as a whole had created a trend.
Recently, the girls have been getting more opportunities to perform on stages not only in Japan but also overseas. With a twinkle in their eyes, they spoke of their dreams.
For people overseas, Japan is associated with “sushi” and “manga. I want to put FRUITS ZIPPER on the same level as those two! (Manaka)
Can “FRUITS ZIPPER” transcend the framework of idols and become a representative of Japanese culture? The challenge of “FRUITS ZIPPER” continues.
Fruits Zipper is a member of Asobi System. A seven-member group that debuted in April 2010. Their single “Watashi no Ichiban Kirei Tokoro (My Cutest Place)” became a big hit when it was released in the same month, and they will be touring Tokyo, Nagoya, and Osaka in early February. Check their official Twitter (@FRUITS_ZIPPER) for the latest information.
