Namie Amuro, who was instrumental in spreading the name of Okinawa Actors School throughout Japan

The Okinawa Actors School, which became famous throughout Japan in the 1990s with the breakthrough of Namie Amuro (45), is to be relaunched. Anna Makino, daughter of founder Masayuki Makino and former chief instructor of the school, made the announcement.

I am very excited. I want to make Okinawa interesting as a center of entertainment. I want to aim for the world.

She expressed her enthusiasm. The Okinawa Actors School opened in Naha City in 1983.

In the 1990s, the school produced more than 30 singers and artists. (Sports newspaper reporter)

The name of Okinawa Actors School became known throughout Japan when “Try Me: Believe in Me,” released in 1995, became a big hit with Amuro, the main vocalist of “Super Monkey’s,” which made its debut in 1992. From there, MAX, SPEED, and DA PUMP debuted in rapid succession, and music programs were filled with performers from the Okinawa Actors School. These young men and women shone brightly in their private lives as well. We would like to introduce some “treasured photos” of them on their wild dates.

Namie Amuro’s first scoop with… (January 24, 1997 issue)

This is the photo of Amuro’s first love scoop.

In April 1995, she made her de facto solo debut and became the youngest artist to win the Japan Record Award the following year. Amuro quickly rose to become Japan’s top artist, but just four days later, this magazine encountered a couple walking in Shinjuku’s Kabukicho district at night. Although she was wearing a cap, passersby immediately recognized her and started screaming, “It’s Amuro, it’s Amuro. The couple quickly got into a car parked in a nearby coin-operated parking lot. The man who hurriedly starts the car is SAM (61) of “TRF. At the time, when interviewed by this magazine, Amuro said through her office, “He is a fellow musician.

He is a fellow musician, and we are friends, not dating or anything. We just went to see a movie that day because we had some free time.

The two were married in October of the same year.

All DA PUMP members are “living together” with beautiful women (October 29, 1999 issue).

Clockwise from top left: ISSA and Takako Uehara, SHINOBU, YUKINARI, and KEN.

DA PUMP, which made its spectacular debut in 1997, was composed of ISSA (44), YUKINARI (44), SHINOBU (42), and KEN (43) and drew 18,000 people at a single concert in October of that year. ISSA was the only one who commuted to the home of his girlfriend, Takako Uehara (40) of SPEED, but the other members all lived next door to each other. The other members of the group were bold enough to live next door to each other. Their agency also stated.

All four of them said, “She is my girlfriend. All four of them have said that they are girlfriends, and although they visit each other’s houses, they do not live together.

ISSA continued to have affairs with Kou Shibasaki and a former model.

ISSA and Takako Uehara, who lived together half the time

In just three years since their debut in August 1996, SPEED had sold approximately 21 million CDs (as of October 1999), including singles and albums. On October 5, “SPEED,” at the height of their popularity, suddenly announced that they would disband at the end of March 2000.

It’s not that we didn’t get along,” said Hiroko Shimabukuro (16 at the time).

It’s not in a bad way, but in a positive way” (Hitoe Aragaki, 18 at the time).

But

In fact, it was the members’ heterosexual relationships that triggered the breakup. At the time, Takako Uehara (then 16) was semi-living with ISSA. The year before that, Eriko Imai (16) was photographed by “Friday” having a love affair with a classmate. Shimabuku’s office found out that she was dating a male talent from the same agency, and the man was fired. Shimabukuro was furious and said, “I’ll quit too! She was furious and said, “I’m quitting, too! In the end, discussions with the office became complicated, and the group was dissolved without any change.

Even after the breakup, the magazine continued to be covered with scoops about Uehara and Aragaki’s love affairs.

MAX Reina’s lover was a member of TOKIO (April 28, 2000 issue).

Reina of “MAX” and Tomoya Nagase of “TOKIO

MAX” is a dance-vocal group formed in 1995 as a derivative unit of “Namie Amuro with SUPER MONKEY’S” with four members, excluding Amuro. Their popularity was ignited in April 1995 when they appeared regularly on the music program “THE Yoru Mo Hippare” (Nippon Television Network), which boasted high viewership ratings at the time. In April 2000, one of the members, Reina (22 at the time), was scooped for a love affair. The partner was Tomoya Nagase (then 21) of “TOKIO,” who was said to be the closest Japanese celebrity to post-Kimutaku. At the time, Nagase was starring in the legendary hit drama “Ikebukuro West Gate Park” (TBS), which was attracting a great deal of attention, and Reina went to work from Nagase’s apartment in Shibuya Ward and returned to this apartment almost every day. In other words, they were living together halfway.

It may not be long before Okinawa Actors School produces a big star like this one.
