 A former Korean idol has been sent to jail.
 Chris (32, real name Woo Yi-hwan), a former member of the Korean male group EXO, was jailed on January 15. Chris was accused of sexually assaulting three women, including a minor. He has been accused of multiple assaults on numerous other women, including some who are minors. At his trial last November, Chris was sentenced to a total of more than 13 years in prison, including 11 years and 6 months for rape and 1 year and 10 months for group lewdness.

 Chris will be deported to Canada, where he is a citizen, after serving his sentence in China. He may also be subject to mandatory castration. Canada uses chemical castration, injecting sex offenders with drugs to suppress their libido so they won&#8217;t commit another crime. Under the country&#8217;s law, consent is not required.
