Congressman Garcy, whose affiliated offices were raided in January, has said he will return to the U.S. and come back to the House in March… (from his official YouTube channel)

There has been a lot of talk about Congressman Garcey….

On January 11, the Metropolitan Police Department conducted a raid on his YouTube channel for threatening several celebrities. This prompted TV stations and major newspapers, which until now had remained silent, to begin pursuing him at once.

Takashi Tachibana, leader of the “NHK Party,” to which he belongs, also admitted that Gershie’s revelations constituted threats and defamation of character. Not only the revelations about Go Ayano and Arata Mackenyu’s dealings with women, but also his threats against the president of his agency to expose other celebrities if he did not apologize, and his intimidation of magazine reporters who were interviewing him, were close to blackmail.

The attack on a businessman and a politician can also be taken as a threat and a slander. There were many people in the industry who thought that the police would eventually move in.

However, it is unlikely that the accusations were filed by individual celebrities. If the case goes to trial, the “revelations” will be rehashed or newly exposed, causing a furore. TV stations are particularly reluctant to use celebrities who are facing a lawsuit.

It is widely believed that the accuser may be a businessman, manager, or politician other than the celebrity.

However, there is no way that the prime minister of a country would be okay with being called “incompetent” as well as “name-calling” by a member of the Diet. Even if Mr. Kishida himself did not mind, those around him would not allow it.

Gurthy began his activities as an exposé-style YouTube star in February of last year. However, the police only raided his house in January of this year, so it appears that they have finally made a move.

The police seemed to think that Gurthy’s content was a violation of the Violent Acts Punishment Law (habitual threats) and defamation of character. In addition, there have been cases in which his revelations have caused people to lose their jobs, and the Metropolitan Police Department is now investigating with a view to filing a case for obstruction of business.

In a delivery on March 12, Senator Gershey announced that he would return to Japan in early March to be interviewed by the police and also to appear before the Diet. So, what will happen to Garcy when he returns to Japan? That is where the public’s interest lies now.

One of the reasons why Garcie wanted to become a member of the National Assembly in the first place was because of the “non-arrest privilege” of a member of the National Assembly.

Simply put, the “privilege of non-arrest” means that, in principle, Diet members have the right not to be arrested while the Diet is in session, as stipulated by the Constitution and laws. However, since it is a principle, there are exceptions.

Although the hurdle is high, if a request for permission to arrest is submitted to the Cabinet and approved by the Diet after a Cabinet decision, arrest is possible.

Experts have differing opinions, but many believe that Gershie will not be taken into custody. This is because, in the first place, defamation cases are usually prosecuted at home, and there is no precedent of an incumbent Diet member being arrested on the charge of intimidation.

Since Garcie is ready to answer questions and there is no fear that he will destroy evidence, it is unlikely that the police will take him into custody, and it is more likely that he will be sent to prosecutors for questioning.

But will that really be enough? A veteran reporter for a weekly magazine said, “I don’t know what the police are going to do yet.

We don’t know what the police are going to do, but they can do whatever they want. The fact that the police raided the house shows how serious they are. How did he view the banning of Gershie’s social networking accounts one after another?

Gyasi has always said that the Japanese police are very good, but in many ways he underestimated the police. He also said that he would expose the dark side of the entertainment industry and Japan, but it would be a pity if he did not know that there are people in that dark side who can easily influence the judiciary and politics. There are plenty of examples of this in the past, so there’s no guarantee they won’t ever arrest you.”

If it were a celebrity, the police would go through with it, but if it were a businessman or a politician, the police would show their seriousness? Gurthy may have stepped on the tail of a terrible tiger….
