Filming on a main street near Toranomon Hills. They were filming a scene where Tsumabuki was staring at the sky while thinking about something.

Satoshi Tsumabuki (42), who dyed his hair white on one side, was standing in a building street wearing a chester coat over his outfit. His cool expression was not only due to the cold weather.

In mid-December, he was on location in the office district of Toranomon (Minato Ward) for the drama series “Get Ready!”

Tsumabuki plays a genius surgeon on a team of black market doctors who save patients’ lives in exchange for an exorbitant fee. Many people on the Internet have said that the setting and the visual of the main character are like “Black Jack.” Incidentally, Tsumabuki starred in the drama ‘Give My Regards to Black Jack’ in 2003,” said a staff member at a production company.

Tsumabuki, who once played a pure young doctor, is now playing a dark heroic black market doctor 20 years later.

Tsumabuki’s strong suit is his charming smile and his ability to express the sadness and anger that sometimes resides in his eyes. I am looking forward to seeing him add the ‘sassiness’ necessary for him to broaden his range of roles in the future,” said columnist Takahiko Kageyama.

Expectations are also high for another aspect of the drama.

In the previous season of TBS’s “Sunday Gekijo,” which airs this drama, “Atom no Kodomo” averaged 9.6% in the ratings, which was not good for the same slot. There are high expectations within TBS that this drama will appeal to the Black Jack generation in their 50s and 60s,” said a staff member at a production company.

Will he be the Black Jack that saves TBS?
