The end of the “morning face” for 17 years in March this year… Gokuraku tonbo Koji Kato reveals his “refreshing” true feelings.
2023 The true feelings of 8 popular men and women
Signature morning program to end in March
The mornings of Koji Kato (53) have come early in the past 17 years. He leaves his house before the sun rises each morning to appear on “Sukkiri” (Nippon Television Network Corporation). What does he think about the fact that such a life will end in March next year? We interviewed Kato, who goes to work early in the morning as usual.
–What do you think about the fact that “Sukkiri” will end at the end of March next year?
I’ve been doing it for 17 years, and I’m really grateful. I’m not thinking about what’s going to happen …… now. For now, I just want to relax. I used to love drinking alcohol, but due to my age, I don’t drink much anymore. First of all, I will do my best to finish “Sukkiri” and wake up slowly in the morning when it is over (laughs).
Sukkiri” began in 2006. Three months after the program began airing, Keiichi Yamamoto, 54, the partner of “Gokuraku Tombo,” had his contract with Yoshimoto terminated for underage lewd behavior. Yamamoto returned to Yoshimoto after nearly 10 years of suspension, and has recently been gradually expanding his activities to include YouTube and radio, and in November of this year he announced his marriage to former AKB48 member Miki Nishino (23).
At the end of the talk, Kato spoke about the surprising relationship between his partner and “Sukkiri.
When the program started, Yamamoto caused a problem and left me alone. I think that may be the reason why the program has lasted this long. And then Yamamoto got married before “Sukkiri” ended. It’s a coincidence, but I am deeply moved.”
Before dawn, we were able to hear Kato’s true feelings about his partner.
