Announcing the pregnancy of her first child! Saori Kimura told this magazine about her “dream for the future” at the cafe she manages with her husband.

Saori Kimura, 36, a former member of Japan’s national volleyball team, announced on her Instagram page on April 4 that she is pregnant with her first child. Kimura said after her New Year’s greeting.
After greeting the New Year, Kimura wrote, “I have an unknown event waiting for me in 2023, so I’m going to take advantage of the good luck charm my mother gave me and the good luck charm J-kun and his family gave me.”
Kimura also posted a photo of herself holding a good luck charm to pray for a safe delivery. She added the opening comment with a “#.”
He added, “#It’s a boy, so I heard it’s a jin-chin-mame.
He also revealed that his first child is a boy.
Kimura was selected for the Japanese national team for the 2004 Athens Olympics while a student at Shimokitazawa Seitoku High School, and made an impressive debut in the first game against Italy, scoring 14 goals in the win. She won a bronze medal at the 2012 London Olympics as the national team’s ace, and was a national star who played an important role in the women’s volleyball world, not only for her ability but also for her pretty looks.
Kimura married former volleyball player Yujiro Hidaka, 36, on New Year’s Eve 2016. He retired just three months later. In September 2019, she opened her dream café in Osaka. Two months later, in November. This magazine interviewed Kimura standing in front of the store wearing an apron.
Kimura said, “Ever since I was active, it has been my dream to open a café. After I retired, I actually opened a café at an event, and I was allowed to open a small store at a volleyball tournament, gaining experience. I talked to my husband, a former volleyball player whom I married in 2004, and he said, ‘Let’s do it together,’ and it became a reality. We pre-opened in September of this year and officially opened on October 1.
Her husband prepares the food, and Kimura is mainly in charge of serving customers. Kimura said she has received several requests for commentary and TV appearances, but for now she wants to focus on the restaurant. At the time, Kimura said of his dreams for the future, “My life is completely different from when I was working.
My life is completely different from when I was working, but my dream is taking shape little by little, and I’m really enjoying it. My goal for the future is to get this store on track and build a house with a garden (laughs). Of course, I still love volleyball, so I would like to be involved in my own way. For example, I would like to help the volleyball world by planning events where people can enjoy the games while eating and drinking.
Although there was a time when they were forced to shut down their business due to the declared state of emergency caused by the COVID-19 crisis, they are now focusing on running the café smoothly.
