 &#8220;My birthday is in August. I turned 18. I turned 18 in August. It&#8217;s my first election. I&#8217;m really looking forward to it. I&#8217;m going to study and think about it, and I&#8217;m definitely going to vote!
This is Hanna, a finalist of &#8220;Miss iD2021&#8221; and the winner of the &#8220;UP NEXT Award&#8221; for her &#8220;brilliance as a gemstone.

 &#8220;Hanna is my real name. It&#8217;s written in English as English.&#8221;
The judges said, &#8220;Her looks, full of the princess feeling that every girl yearns for, are breathtaking. Her eyes are as big as a doll&#8217;s, and she looks you right in the eye as she speaks.
She lives with her family in Fujisawa City, Kanagawa Prefecture, a short distance from the ocean.
 &#8220;It&#8217;s a short bike ride to the ocean!
So I borrowed a bicycle and headed for the beach with her. We rode through a residential area. We crossed a level crossing of the Odakyu Enoshima Line. Her long legs stretched out from her slightly short skirt as she pedaled her bicycle. It&#8217;s hard to reach the ocean. Just when I thought I couldn&#8217;t go any further, my vision opened up and I saw the ocean.
 &#8220;Was it hard on the bike?　Sorry!　Are you okay?&#8221;
For Hanna-chan, a short distance is about 20 minutes by bicycle.
 &#8220;But usually, I can get there in about 10 minutes.　I love the beach here. I love this beach. I come here with my friends, and sometimes I come alone because it&#8217;s so close. Over there is Enoshima Island. It&#8217;s an island, but it&#8217;s connected by a bridge, so you can ride your bike there!

For another fifteen minutes or so, she took us on a leisurely bicycle tour of Enoshima.
 &#8220;There aren&#8217;t many visitors now, but this is a tourist spot, so there are usually lots of people here. So, coming to Enoshima is a bit of an expedition.
I don&#8217;t care if the wind messes up my hair. I don&#8217;t care if the wind messes up my hair. I was amazed at the beautiful girl who could just get off her bike and take pictures. And her healthy legs.
<h2>Even an ordinary girl can go farther than you think if she puts her mind to it!</h2>

 &#8220;My mother is from Syria. My mother is from Syria, and my name is Hanna, which is also a name found in the Middle East. My father, who is Japanese, gave it to me. I like this name very much.
 I love acting, singing, and dancing, and I thought it would be nice to have such a career in the future. iD I applied for Miss iD on my own.
 How did I describe myself when I applied? PR When I applied for Miss iD, I said to myself, &#8220;I&#8217;m not particularly unique, I think I&#8217;m just ordinary. I wrote, &#8220;I don&#8217;t think I&#8217;m particularly unique, I think I&#8217;m just an ordinary girl, but even an ordinary girl can go far if she puts her mind to it. I was very happy when the judges agreed that being normal was a wonderful thing.
Hanna-chan smiled as she said this. Hanna-chan&#8217;s attempt to communicate in her own words, even though it was not very good, seemed both strong and somewhat endearing.
 &#8220;I&#8217;ve been to my mother&#8217;s country, Syria, three times. I went to a public elementary school in Syria, but I returned to Japan in the summer after I finished the first grade, and the following year the civil war started. Then 10 years later Ten years later, the civil war is still going on. The place where I used to play in Syria was destroyed by bombing, and I don&#8217;t even know if my friends from that time are still alive. In addition to the conflict itself, there is also a serious problem of refugees.
 I don&#8217;t know much about Syria or its politics. I&#8217;ve been living peacefully in Japan, and I can only learn about it from the news. &#8230; &#8230;
I searched for words, chose them, and tried my best to speak.

<h2>For the sake of my future &#8220;dream</h2>
 The term &#8220;parent gacha&#8221; has become a hot topic. &#8230; . It may be misleading, but I think there is also a &#8216;national mess&#8217;. Whenever my sister, who is two years older than me, and I hear news about Syria, we talk about what it would be like if we were in Syria. She says, &#8220;We are lucky to be in Japan. But there are actually a lot of people living in Syria, and not just in Syria, but in Afghanistan and many other countries where lives are at risk every day. I&#8217;ve been thinking about what I can do here in Japan.
She does not think of &#8220;distant countries&#8221; as someone else&#8217;s problem, but feels much closer to them through her childhood experience and imagination.
 &#8220;My hope for the future is to become a film actress. But I have one more dream.
 I&#8217;m in my third year of high school, and I&#8217;m studying for the entrance exam. I want to study languages. I&#8217;m not interested in languages, but rather languages themselves. Language is the basis of culture and rules, isn&#8217;t it? I want to learn about foreign countries, countries with different rules, and work to connect distant countries with Japan.
 But there are so many things I don&#8217;t know. I like to learn, so I want to study harder and harder. So after this interview, I&#8217;m going to refrain from going out and concentrate on studying for the entrance exam!　Oh, I&#8217;ll definitely go to the election, though!
