The air is filled with autumn in the Azabu-juban shopping district (Minato-ku). At a natural foods store, actress Kyoka Suzuki, 54, was holding a shopping basket in her hand. She was wearing a wool jacket with a flashy pattern, and her aura of an actress could not be hidden. After shopping, Kyoka was on her way home by car.
In the first half of this year, she played the role of Tango-no-Bureki, the wife of Hōhō Emperor Go-Shirakawa, in “Kamakuradono no 13-nin” (NHK). Her performance, in which she overpowered Eiko Koike, who played the role of Masako Hojo, with a woman’s dignity, was well received. She will also appear in “Show Must Go On,” a play written and directed by Koki Mitani, until the end of the year, keeping her busy.
She has been in a relationship with actor Hiroki Hasegawa (45), and there has been a lot of talk about their breakup and marriage. However, after moving into their current apartment in 2009, it is believed that they have settled into a “de facto” marriage. Even though they are not married, they seem to be getting along well.
(A source close to the entertainment industry) It is likely that she and Hasegawa took time out of their busy schedules to enjoy a leisurely dinner together.
