Nishikori said, “This is a new beginning for us. We will do our best to return to the world’s top stage. Kei Nishikori and Mai Mai

Tennis player Kei Nishikori (32) updated his Instagram to report that he and former model Mai Yamauchi (31, stage name Ako Mizuki), whom he married in February of 2008, held a wedding ceremony and reception. Nishikori uploaded a photo taken in the city with Mai in a black tuxedo and a wedding dress. He wrote that he was thrilled that they were finally able to hold the event, which had been postponed due to the COVID-19 crisis.

The couple’s relationship became public in 2003. A women’s magazine scooped their Gotemba outlet date. At the time, Nishikori was ranked No. 4 in the world and was on the verge of winning a Grand Slam title. In contrast, Mai was an unknown model, so there was a succession of slanderous accusations that she was a publicity stunt. Among them, it was Nishikori’s father who was vehemently opposed.

(Sports newspaper reporter) Still, it seems that their love for each other did not waver. In 1919, they began living together in a luxury condominium Nishikori had purchased in Tokyo. At a party Mai held in Tokyo in October of that year, they told their friends

“Actually…we are getting married.

They were at the height of their happiness. Just as they were at the height of their happiness, this magazine witnessed the couple on a series of dates.

Nishikori was a “gentleman” when directly interviewed after their date in Roppongi.

Nishikori and Mai get out of a cab parked in Roppongi, Tokyo, on October 27, 2019. As they began to walk down the sidewalk, the cab driver stopped them and handed them their backpacks. Apparently, they had left their backpacks in the car. The two were smiling at each other, looking like a newlywed couple. When we directly interviewed the couple right after that, Nishikori said

Nishikori said, “I’m sorry. I’m sorry. I’m sorry.

Nishikori politely responded, “I’m sorry. Mai also responded politely.

“I’m sorry, I’m sorry. I’m sorry you came all this way.

Jagariko Date” on Takeshita Street

Ms. Yamauchi snuggles up to Nishikori, oblivious to her surroundings.

Two months later, the couple was spotted walking along Takeshita Street in Harajuku (Shibuya Ward), which was crowded with many people. They were enjoying a stroll, crunching on “Jagarico” at a Calbee company-owned store and then dressed as if they were going out to a convenience store.

In the 2022 season, they were out for a long time due to injury, and when the world ranking was updated in October, the points they had maintained since April 19, 2010 disappeared. He was out of the rankings for the first time in about 12 years and 6 months. He was rumored to retire, but is now aiming to compete in the Australian Open to be held in January. Their “new start” to “return to the top of the world” has just begun. I sincerely wish them happiness and Nishikori’s revival.

Nishikori gently follows Mr. Yamauchi as he gets out of the cab and tries to step over the guardrail. It is a funny scene.
