 Former Fuji Television announcer Rio Hirai, now freelance, announced her divorce on December 23.

 Speaking of Hirai, she married a senior employee of the same Fuji Television network in &#8217;12 after about 6 years of dating. They had their first child, a girl, in 2005.
 What made more headlines was the fact that her husband was involved in the divorce case of TV personality Yoko Kumada. In 2009, Ms. Kumada filed a lawsuit alleging that her husband had subjected her to domestic violence.

However, Kumada&#8217;s side strongly refuted the claim, saying that it had no basis in fact, and the two sides were in direct conflict.
