They want to destroy the hydroelectric power plant and the embankment, flooding the entire Cherson region and delaying the invasion of the Ukrainian army. The residents of Herson, who claim to have actually &#8216;annexed&#8217; the area, have been ordered to evacuate.
 The blowing up of the dam has another terrifying aim. They want to stop the water supply to the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant, disable the cooling system, and spread radioactive materials from the six reactors. Zaporizhzhia is one of the largest nuclear power plants in Europe. The damage to humanity would be far greater than if they had radioactive material built into a bomb.&#8221;
