The day before this, Ji-su came to Japan to attend a pop-up store event for the French luxury jewelry brand Cartier, which will open on September 2 in Omotesando (Shibuya-ku, Tokyo). She was joined by actress Honami Suzuki (56) and model Shuzo Ohira (21) for a photo session.
The K-pop superstar’s sudden visit to Japan was greeted by many on the Internet with questions such as, “Only staying for a day?” and “The real purpose of his visit was to go to Donki. The Internet was filled with messages from fans hoping to catch a glimpse of Ji-su, such as, “Is the real purpose of her visit to Japan Donki?
Jisoo’s love for Donki is well known among fans. When she came to Japan in the past, she and Jenny (26), a member of the group, were seen in the store wearing product headgear and making fun of each other.
Fans’ predictions were right on target. Ji-su showed up at Donki in Roppongi with four strong-looking bodyguards, wearing a black beret, a mini one-piece, and laced boots. However, many fans were waiting for her, and the storefront was in a state of confusion. After staying at the store for only about 30 minutes, Ji-su left in a hurry.
Her new song “Pink Venom,” which was pre-released on August 19, has topped 100 million views in the 29 hours since its release, and is now alone at No. 1 on the Korean charts. The next visit to Donki may be after the promotion of the new song.
