Natsuki Deguchi (22) ’19 made her debut as an actress. She has appeared in four consecutive drama series.’ In December 2010, she told FRIDAY, “My goal is to get used to acting.

A number of notable actresses are playing her younger sister.

Kaoru Shimada, entertainment reporter There are many young actresses of note, but I recommend Natsuki Deguchi (22), who played the younger sister of Yuki Yamada (33) in January’s “Tsuki 9” (Fuji TV) series “Because You Gave Me Your Heart” (Fuji TV). She is a legitimate actress with a well-developed face, but her roles include that of a maiko in the drama “Maiko-sanchi no Makanaisan” (Netflix) and a working student in the movie “Ano Hana ga Saku Oka de Kimi ni Muketaetaeta” (“If I Meet You Again on the Hill Where the Flowers Bloom…”). (Netflix), or the role of a working student in the movie “Ano Hana ga Saku Oka de Kimi wo Muketaeta” (If I Meet You Again on a Flower Blooming Hill). Visually, she can play a wide range of roles. In terms of acting, she can play the role of a girl of her age in a very natural way. She has already been selected to play the heroine in the April season drama “Blue Moment” (Fuji), and I believe she will make a full-fledged breakthrough this year.

Drama Watcher Masahiro Kitagawa: For my personal recommendation, I am looking at Seira Anzai (20 ), who played the role of a “rabbit” in an armed group called “Beast” in “New Airport Occupation” (NTV). She is a short-cut, cool-looking beauty. Another is Kita Kana (26 ), who played the heroine in the late-night drama “Sensei Sayonara” (Nippon TV). I thought she was a tremendous babe in the past, as she brilliantly played a strong Chinese character in the drama series “Viprayers” (TV Tokyo), playing alongside Kenichi Endo (62), Yutaka Matsushige (61), and other big-name actors. In the movie “Shunga Sensei,” he also tried his hand at wet scenes, which shows his willingness to compete in this world. No matter how small the role, she has a mysterious charm that catches people’s attention, and her potential as an actress is outstanding.

Writer Oyama KumaoKawai Yumi (23) also has great potential. In the much-talked-about Kudo Kankuro scripted drama “Inappropriate, Too Inappropriate! (TBS), a drama series written by Kankuro Kudo, in which she played the role of a Showa-era yankee high school girl. She has already starred in the NHK drama “Kazoku Dake Dakara Ai Datta Dake wa Kazoku wa Kazoku Datta” and has already made her presence felt in a variety of films. She can play any role, and not only is she good at it, but her unique atmosphere attracts people.

Shimada: Kawai is really a child of the Showa period, and she was so into the role that it was almost as if she had time-traveled back in time. You also give good performances in social and serious dramas such as the movies “Yuuko’s Balance” and “PLAN75.

Kitagawa: My acting is so good that I get into the roles so much that I am remembered more by my role than by my actress name, which is a bit of a problem. She may have a good reputation in the industry, but I feel that it is difficult for her to become an actress that everyone knows, such as playing a leading role in a drama.

Shimada: I think there are two kinds of breakthroughs: the kind where you stand at the center and the kind where you shine in supporting roles, and Kawai is more of the latter. I think Kawai is the latter. I think she will become a good actress whose presence will make people feel at ease and make the film more cohesive.

Oyama: She may grow as a film actress. But she is only 23 years old, so I don’t know what will happen in the future.

ShimadaAyara Shida, 24, who appeared in “Dragon Zakura 2” (TBS), is also the type of actress that is popular with professionals. She is more suited to natural roles that do not make her look like a glamorous heroine. However, she broke new ground as a protagonist who takes revenge with a strong will in the January season drama “Eroshiki inai ‘watashi’ (Nippon TV)” (I Can’t Erase Me). If she meets a good production, she may have a big breakthrough.

OyamaAyamu Makita ( 21 ) is of the same type, often playing twisted or sensitive female roles, and has appeared in works by Taichi Yamada, Izumi Kisara, and Yuji Sakamoto. She is the actress of choice for writers. She has been given the important role of the younger sister of the lead in the morning drama “Okaeri Monet” and the Netflix drama “Oshinobi no Ie”.

Shimada: Like Deguchi just now, it is easy to attract attention when you play the role of the younger sister. I have the impression that Nanoka Hara (20 ) became well known after playing the younger sister of Shoutaro Mamiya (30) in “Namba MG5” (Fuji). Hiyori Sakurada (21), who played the younger sister of Ren Meguro (27) in “Silent” (Fuji), also attracted attention with this role.

Oyama: Especially in morning dramas, the roles of younger sisters and best friends are played over a long period of time, so they are easily etched in the viewer’s memory. Many successful actresses have emerged from the roles of younger sisters and best friends, such as Riho Yoshioka (31) in “Asa Asa”, Kaya Kiyohara (22) in “Natsuzora”, and Moeka Kamihiraishi (24) in “Chimudotsu”.

KITAKANA (26) Debuted as a child actress in ’10. She gained attention for her role as Oba in the historical drama “Dosare Ieyasu” and is scheduled to appear in “Highball for Snack Girls” in the April cool season.
Kawai Yumi(23) ’19 made her debut as an actress in “RoOT,” a drama series in which she starred, which started airing in April, and “An no Koto,” a movie in which she starred, which is scheduled to be released in June.
Nanoha Hara(20) Debuted as a child actress in 2009. She gained attention for her role in the film “Suzume no tojikomari” (Suzume’s Door Closer). The movie in which she plays the lead role, “Koi no nage no elly” is currently in theaters.
Hiyori Sakurada(21) Debuted as a child actress in 2012. She won the New Actor Award at the 47th Japan Academy Awards for her role as the heroine in the film, “Exchange Uso Nikki (Diary of a Lying Child).

The “next Suzu Hirose” candidate is 17 years old.

Shimada: Ami Toma (17 ), who showed off her special skill of violin in the Sunday drama “Sayonara Maestro” (TBS), has a clear face, and her transparency is amazing, as she was chosen as the character for the “Calpis Water” commercial. She has only been an actress for a short time, and her first appearance in a TV drama was in “Wife, Shogakusei ni naru” (TBS), which aired in 2010. (TBS). She played the role of a junior high school prodigy novelist, and although she was not a main cast member, her vigorous performance left a strong impression on me. She is both talented and visual, so no matter what kind of work she appears in, she takes it all with her. She reminds me of Suzu Hirose (25).

Kitagawa: I understand. She leaves a lasting impression even if she is only in the film for a short time. When she made a guest appearance as a fencing player in the fifth episode of “Old Rookie” (TBS), I thought she was an actual fencing player and watched her performance.

Oyama: At the age of high school students, it is difficult to cast them as the leading roles in dramas, no matter how highly regarded they are in the field. In that case, the receptive audience would be school dramas.’ The 19-year broadcast of “3-nen A-gumi – From Now on, You Are All Hostages” (Nippon TV) featured many of today’s successful actresses, including Haruka Fukuhara (25), Mei Nagano (24), and Mio Imada (27). Similarly, I think Touma and Mizuki Kayashima (19 ), who played students in the drama “The Best Teacher: 1 Year Later, I was ■subscribed by a Student” (Nippon TV), which aired last year, will sell well.

Shimada: Last year, Kayashima was chosen as a commercial girl for “Zexy,” which is said to be a “gateway to success for young actresses. She is 170 cm tall and has a stage presence.’ In 21 years, you played the role of Juliet in the stage production of “Romeo and Juliet,” and your composure was halfway to spectacular. I was only 16 years old then. Another shining star on stage is Momoko Fukuchi (26 ). Her father, Sho Aikawa (62), does not have the V-Cinema atmosphere of his father, and she is very fresh. She was chosen as one of the quattro cast to play Spirited Away in the stage production “Spirited Away,” which is scheduled to be performed in London this year. Her acting is superb, but her voice, like the sound of a bell, is also wonderful. The other three Chihirois are all big names, Kanna Hashimoto (25), Mone Kamishiraishi (26), and Rina Kawae (29), but Fukuchi made the most of her innocent atmosphere to create a pure and lovely Chihiroi.

Kitagawa: It’s amazing just to have been selected with those three. But I thought she would sell out even earlier, when she appeared in the morning drama “Natsuzora” in 1919.

Shimada: She is a very laid-back person. Even at rehearsals, the staff would warn her, “Mr. Fukuchi, please hurry up. I once had the opportunity to interview her, and in a good way, she does not read the air. She doesn’t mind being around others and can talk at her own pace even when surrounded by many people. People who win grand prizes at auditions are usually people who have their own world.

Oyama: That “big shot” feeling is also the daughter of Mr. Aikawa. She too has a strong presence in supporting roles, but I think it is time for her to have a major role. Maybe she will make her breakthrough at the age of 30 like Shuri (33).

Ami Toma (17) ’22 made her debut as an actress. She gained attention for her leading role in the animated film “Kagami no Isogi” and played her first starring role in an NHK drama “Ke no Hi no Ke Ke Ke Ke”.
Mizuki Kayashima(19) right Nagisa Saito(20) left Kayashima won the grand prix out of 3,224 contestants in an audition held by Amuse and debuted as an actress in ’19. Saito made her idol debut in 2005 as “=LOVE” and started her acting career in 2006.
Momoko Fukuchi (26) Debuted as an actress in ’16. She showed her presence as the sister of the heroine in the morning drama “Natsuzora” and as Yasutoki’s wife Hatsu in the historical drama “Kamakuradono no 13-nin.

The Key to Breakthrough is a “Gap

Oyama: There are also promising girls from the idol world. Mizuki Yamashita (24) graduated from Nogizaka46 this year and is going to concentrate on acting. She played the role of a ball player’s older sister in the Sunday drama “Gekkokujo Kyuji” (TBS), and she was wonderful, completely erasing her idol aura. She really looked like she belonged in the countryside. She is the ace of “Nogizaka46,” though. I think she is a person who can put on and take off her aura. There is also a dark horse , Nagisa Saito (20 ) from the idol group “=LOVE” produced by Rino Sashihara (31). Her role as a host-crazed girl in “Tomorrow, I’m Someone’s Girl” (TBS) was brilliant. She has been cast as the main heroine, Ruby, in the live-action version of “Mystery Child,” and is extremely popular among Generation Z. Her concern is that her visuals are too idol-like and her roles are limited. If she can show a gap like Yamashita, she could go one rank higher.

Kitagawa: Model Nukumi Meru (22) also had many roles as a gal-like girl appropriate for her age, but she got her big break playing a simple woman working at a chikuwabu factory in “Sunday Night About…” (TV Asahi).

Shimada: Rei Shirakawa (21 ) showed the biggest gap in dramas in the January cool season. She is the daughter of Koji Takanohana (51) and Keiko Kono (59), and although she is a flamboyant girl, she really got into the role of an otaku-like editor in “Kekkatsu 1000bonnokkou” (Fuji TV). She wears glasses, is foul-mouthed and quirky. I thought it was played by an actress from a theater company, so I was surprised when I found out it was her after about episode 6. Many of this generation are honor student types with good acting skills. To get a break, it is important to have your own personality and acting range. Keeping this in mind, I hope that as many of you named today as possible will get your break.

Rei Shirakawa (21) Entered the entertainment industry in 2011. She is a regular on “Poka Poka” on Thursdays. First regular appearance in a serial drama in “Kekkonkatsu 1000bonnok”.
