Moe Isawa, a former sexy actress who was “arrested for methamphetamine use,” tells her story… The awful backstory of what was happening in a “women’s prison.

Riri Kamegami was arrested on suspicion of aiding and abetting fraud for selling a manual that describes how to cheat people out of cash by taking advantage of their romantic feelings. She has been sentenced to 13 years in prison, which has caused various repercussions.

The women’s prison she will enter if she receives a prison sentence. Female inmates account for only 10% of the total prison population, and not much is known about the inside of the prison, but what kind of place is it?

Moe Gosawa (Ms. Gosawa), a former porn star who spent about 13 years in prison for violations of the Narcotics Control Law and the Narcotics Control Law, told us what it is like.

Nice to meet you, I am Moe Azawa. I am a former porn star and was in prison. I was released on October 13 last year. I am looking forward to meeting you.

Ms. Gosawa started out her story cheerfully. She first got involved with methamphetamine when she was a teenager, when her then boyfriend asked her to join him.

At the time, I was using methamphetamine just for fun at drinking parties. I started using on my own when the adult film agency I belonged to was dissolved and I had free time. I got involved with a drug dealer, and the dealer told me, ‘Don’t smoke it, let’s hit it,’ and from there I got more and more addicted.”

First, after being arrested by the police, he would spend time in a detention center until the criminal penalty was determined. Mr. Isawa says that life in the detention center was more difficult than in prison, but recalling the time when he was taken into police custody, he said that he was at fault.

When I was arrested, the first thing I felt was that the Tokyo Detention Center was very strict. Looking back, I think it was partly because of my bad behavior, but I was despairing because I was not treated like a human being. I was terrified, not expecting such a place, but when I entered the prison, I was surprised to find that everyone, including the prison guards, were kind to me. It would be easier to understand if you think of it as a girls’ school with fairly strict school rules.

In the detention center, she was placed in a solitary confinement cell, and when she tried to talk to the staff, they ignored her. They do not listen to any of our requests. Compared to this environment, prison was relatively relaxed, she says. Once the charges were confirmed and he was transferred to the prison, he was placed in a cell with a group of other inmates.

This is a social life in a cage, which he had never experienced before. There, he says, unexpected rules awaited him that he could never have imagined outside the prison.

The first thing that surprised me was that I was told that I was not allowed to ask for their first names. We were also not allowed to ask about the crime or sentence. I guess they wanted to avoid creating a hierarchy, but in the end I would find out after a few months.

In addition, many other procedures must be followed in prison to obtain necessities such as eyeglasses. Most inmates write to their parents or friends to obtain them, but Mr. Isawa did not want to bother his parents or friends, so he used what is called a purchasing agent service.

Whenever I wanted something, I used a service called a purchasing agency, which purchases daily necessities and delivers them on behalf of those who need nursing care. For the purchasing agent to the prison, they would take care of the job for 30,000 to 50,000 yen per use. At the time, I really wanted a pair of Hazuki-loupes, so I used the purchase agency and bought a pair of glasses for a total of 45,000 yen.

The prison guard in charge of the project was angry with me, saying that I was throwing money away, but it was necessary for me because I didn’t want to bother my friends and family on the outside, and I didn’t want to be estranged from them.”

Finding a company to act as a purchasing agent was also difficult. He contacted 10 companies, but only two responded. From there, only one company accepted the job. Mr. Aizawa believes that the purchasing agent companies would not be willing to do business with a company if they were in jail.

Perhaps it is because of these various restrictions and inconvenient living conditions in women’s prisons that more same-sex relationships take place there than outside the prisons. Ms. Aizawa also had a relationship with a woman during her long imprisonment, and there were a good number of other inmates who were in the same boat.

The person he was dating was a bisexual woman. He said he never thought he would date a woman, but there were a good number of others like him. Since the romance took place in a crowded cell, he says that after they started dating, they slept together holding hands, kissed and engaged in pseudo-sexual acts out of the guard’s sight.

Besides romance between inmates, some approached female prison guards. Prisoners with short hair, tall and slender, like male actors in Takarazuka were very popular. I used to send him autographs (making a heart mark with my finger) during his midnight patrols.”

Some inmates showed their affection for the cool prison guards, and they told me that the values were exactly the same as in a girls’ high school.

Now that her prison life is over, Ms. Gosawa has come out. Her goal now is to be a hope for those in prison.

She says that she is working day by day to contribute to society by visiting prisons and creating a company that specializes in activities to help people returning from prison get back on their feet. We can only hope that her rehabilitation activities will be successful.
