Defendant Ito shows obsessive fixation on former girlfriend

The trial for the brutal murder of a female university student is about to begin.

In June 2011, Ryuki Ito, 23, was accused of murder for stabbing a college student, A (then 18), he was dating in Tsurumi Ward, Yokohama City, Kanagawa Prefecture, to death with a kitchen knife. According to TV Kanagawa and other newspapers, a pre-trial order was issued on April 16 at the Yokohama District Court, and the first trial date was set for June 10.

In an article distributed on July 4, 2011, “FRIDAY Digital” reported in detail on the words and actions of defendant Ito, who relentlessly threatened and violently attacked Ms. A, who was trying to break up with him. We would like to recount the tragic incident in which a young woman became a victim of a man’s selfishness.

He told her, “If you leave me, I’ll kill you.” ……

He waited for her to leave the house and hurt her with a knife.

He tried to get back together with her, but was unable to convince her.

The man reportedly told the police that he stabbed his ex-girlfriend to death.

The horrific incident occurred after 10:00 a.m. on June 29, 2011. Ito, a self-proclaimed company employee, stabbed Ms. A, a female university student, to death when she came out of her apartment in Tsurumi Ward, Yokohama City, with a kitchen knife he was carrying.

Ms. A was stabbed multiple times in the neck, chest, and other parts of her upper body, and was rushed to the hospital, where she was confirmed dead. The cause of death was hemorrhagic shock.

Mr. A and Mr. Ito had been dating for about two years prior to the incident. They started dating because Ms. A was working part-time at a restaurant where Mr. Ito was the manager. However, defendant Ito was unusually restrictive and there was constant trouble between them.

From October ’21 to June ’23, Ms. A and her friends reported the incident to the police four times.’ In December 2010, Ms. A told the responding police officers. He told me, ‘If you break up with me, I will kill you. They strangled me. According to a classmate of hers who was interviewed by several reporters immediately after the incident, she was beaten violently, including being hit by a horse, and told, “You really don’t mind if I break up with you, do you? I don’t know what’s going to happen to you.

On June 22, about a week before the incident, Ms. A and Mr. Ito were in trouble.

They got into a violent fight in Ito’s car, and Ms. A left her backpack containing the keys to her house. The next day, the police recovered the backpack, but did not find the keys. It is possible that Mr. Ito used Ms. A’s forgotten key to enter the apartment building where the incident took place and ambush her.

Mr. A had a bright and outgoing personality and was a popular person who was admired by many of his friends. When she was a child, she performed as a child actor and even appeared on stage in a play performed at a theater in Tokyo. However, after she began dating defendant Ito, her friends found it difficult to see her. It is possible that defendant Ito, who was very restrictive, did not like it when Ms. A got along with her friends.

There were also strange incidents at defendant Ito’s apartment, located about 2 km away from Ms. A’s apartment. According to residents, they heard male voices yelling and female screams late at night. There were also noises of things breaking and something crashing violently,” he said.

According to the lawyer for Ms. A’s family, she and defendant Ito had separated about a week before the incident. However, Ms. A continued to receive persistent direct messages from him, and it is not difficult to imagine the strong fear he must have had for her.

The police contacted relatives on both sides and set up a meeting with them to discuss the matter. They were intermittently checking to see if Mr. Ito had committed any violent acts. But as a result, a tragic incident occurred. It is necessary to verify whether the police response was appropriate.

Ito took the life of his former boyfriend out of sheer obsession. What will he have to say at his trial? The verdict is scheduled to be handed down on June 21.
