Jung Ji Yoo is making her return to the domestic market. Her dainty play attracted many fans.

Jung Ji-yu, 28, Korea’s beauty queen who spent the last year mainly playing on the Japan Women’s Golf Tour, has returned to the Korean Tour this season. She was recommended by the organizer to play in the Doosan Construction Weve Championship (April 4-7), the opening round of the women’s golf tour last week.

Jung Ji-yu has a unique background, having started playing golf at the age of 18 and becoming a professional in Korea. With her handsome face, she has attracted a lot of attention and sponsors in her first full year on the regular Korean Tour. In 2022, he took the Japanese professional test and passed with a single shot. Last year he made his debut on the Japan Tour, mainly playing on the Step Up Tour.

However, out of the 12 tournaments he played, he only passed the qualifying rounds in two of them. He also failed to qualify for the two regular tour events he played on the organizer’s recommendation, and finished 165th with a prize money of only 70,000 yen for the year, a tough result for his first attempt in Japan. He then tried to qualify for this season’s qualifying round, but was eliminated in the first stage. Little was known about his movements after that, but he returned to Japan and showed up on the Korean Tour.

However, she started the first day with two birdies and no bogeys to get to 2-under, and on the second day she had three birdies and three bogeys for an even-par 72, which was good enough to get her to 2-under for the day and through to the qualifying round.

On the third day of the final round, he made a double bogey at the first hole, but managed to hold on with two birdies and two bogeys in the second half to finish at 1-under for the day. On the final day, he had one birdie and two bogeys, but still finished the tournament in a tie for 47th place with an even-par total.

As expected, the Korean media paid a great deal of attention to her. After the tournament, she told the sports and entertainment website SportsW, “I feel like I’m back in my hometown. I’m having a lot of fun,” he said with a smile.

As for her future plans, she plans to compete in the QT in Japan this season while competing on the Dream Tour, Korea’s second division. In fact, he stated, “I am not seeded for the Japan Tour this year, but I am thinking about challenging for the QT in the winter.” As for the reason for this,

“I want to try to live a long life as a player. Besides, the practice environment is very good. In Japan, there are official practice rounds on the lower tours, and the courses are not that different from those on the regular tour. The green speeds and conditions are very good, and I felt that the tournament is run in a player-first manner.”

She said.

Will she be able to make it to Japan again? To that end, we hope that she will hone her skills on the Korean Tour this season and once again show her improved form in front of her Japanese fans.
